Role overview

We are looking for an experienced Administration Lead to join our service in Leicester.

The Administration Lead plays a key role in ensuring that all admin processes are efficient accurate and fit for purpose. Leading the admin team on a day-to-day basis youll ensure that only the very best level of care and attention is given to our patients and that all interactions they receive from us are clear concise and correct. You will also be responsible for the management of all administration in support of activity across our Clinic Theatre and Reception teams in order to facilitate the smooth running of the service.


Youll ensure that patient confidentiality is always maintained in all verbal and written communication and youll have a full understanding of patient pathways and the appointment processes to make sure the patient journey is a smooth one.

Youll also have oversight of areas such as team rotas referral management organising marketing materials attending meetings coordinating events training new starters maintaining databases its a really varied role so were looking for someone who loves working in a fast-paced environment where every day is different.


We also need someone who is incredibly customer focused and enjoys meeting and talking to people the thought of eye surgery can be a daunting prospect for patients to deal with so all our team members need to be empathetic and friendly and able to put patients at ease.

What skills and experience do I need

Were looking for someone with previous administrative experience ideally in a supervisory capacity. And ideally youll have worked in a healthcare environment before but this is not essential.


Well provide full training on things like our systems and processes but the following elements will be advantageous:

  • Experience of managing a team in a customer-focused environment
  • Awareness / understanding of the CQC regulatory standards
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise own work without supervision


  • Experience of implementing process improvement
  • A competent user of all Office 365 programmes
  • Tech savvy and comfortable working on new systems g. patient record systems
  • An excellent grasp of the English language both verbally and in written format
  • A good team player happy to jump in and support others when required
