QUALIFICATIONS CERTIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Valid Iowa teaching license with special education endorsement.
- Minimum of three years of successful special education teaching experience.
- Masters Degree preferred.
- Proven ability to work with diverse groups to include teachers administrators and students.
- Demonstrate strong facilitation and communication
- Proficient in the implementation of curriculum assessment and
- Demonstrate skills in using student and work performance data to make informed instructional
- Demonstrate effective collaborative skills with other
- Demonstrate the ability to differentiate curriculum to meet the diverse needs of all students.
- Engage in learning and implementing new ideas and
- Dedicated commitment to on-going professional
- Ability to reflect on own practice and lead reflective coaching conversations with colleagues.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
PERSONAL PERFORMANCE CRITERIA
- Model best instructional practices for special education students through actual classroom demonstrations.
- Assist teachers in integrating meaningful strategies for special education students into instructional
- Researching planning implementing and facilitating professional and job- embedded professional learning to staff
- Participate in the new teacher induction process specifically supporting our new special education teachers and associates.
- Identify appropriate opportunities for teachers to observe exemplary instructional practices that support our special education
- Collaborate with administration TLC leaders and other staff members to support and participate as needed in advancing the PLC and data team processes centered on special education
- Collect and analyze teacher implementation data of district
- Collect and analyze student learning and achievement data to determine the impact of instructional
- Utilize data to engage all administrators teachers and other staff members in discussion and training opportunities designed to improve efforts in supporting special education
PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with District Administrators and Teaching & Learning Staff in support of District professional learning days.
- Collaborate with building ILTs and administrators to facilitate professional learning at the building
- Attend district level instructional coaching meetings and
- Work with Director of Special Education to ensure that the district is compliant with all state and federal mandates regarding special education learners.
- Other job-related duties as assigned.
