This position iscurrently eligibleto work in a hybrid work environment with both onsite and remote within the Kansas City-Overland Park-Kansas City MO-KS Combined Statistical Area which generally includes the Kansas counties of Johnson Wyandotte Leavenworth Miami and Linn and the Missouri counties of Jackson Clay Platte Cass and Ray is required.

Johnson County Government is seeking Developer II to join our JIMS development this role you will provide support for legacy systems and provide new solutions for new enhancement requests for our Justice partners. This role focuses on Microsoft-based technologies browser-based applications development and integration work across multiple platforms and databases. This position will remain open until filled.

Responsibilities

Design develop and maintain applications on the platform
Work with Rocket UniVerse and MS SQL databases to support business-critical systems
Develop and maintain browser-based applications
Maintain and enhance legacy Visual Basic and C# (C-Sharp) codebases
Develop & support APIs and application integrations
Troubleshoot debug and resolve application issues
Collaborate with team members analysts and stakeholders to deliver reliable solutions
Follow best practices for coding testing and documentation

Required Qualifications

• 2 years of professional software development experience
• Experience technologies
• Working knowledge of relational databases like MS SQL database
• Experience maintaining legacy Visual Basic and C# applications
• Experience developing and consuming APIs
• Familiarity with application integrations
• Experience with HTML CSS and JavaScript
• Experience with browser-based / web application development

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with Rocket UniVerse
• Working understanding on Unix AIX.
• Bachelors degree in computer science Information Technology or a related field
• Experience working with COTS (Commercial Off-The-Shelf) software.
• Basic understanding of IIS (Internet Information Services)
