TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:Teacher contract days according to the District school calendar with benefits according to Board District currently participates in the MO Teacher Baseline Salary Grant ($40000 minimum) and Career Ladder (Stages 1-3).
QUALIFICATIONS: Valid Missouri teacher certificate for appropriate level: Guidance Counselor K-8 or K-12;or such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
REPORTS TO: Building Administrator
FLSA CLASSIFICATION: Exempt

Sick Leave - 11 days/school year accumulative to 180 days
Personal Days - 3 days/school year non-accumulative

Summary
The Guidance Counselor is to offer the student counseling and comprehensive developmental guidance services in the areas of personal/social educational/academic and career/vocational growth and development which will enable him/her to live successfully and become a contributing member of society.

- Building level 504 Coordinator responsible for evaluation and development of 504 Accommodation Plans
- Site Testing Coordinator assisting with the administration of state and district
assessments including MAP End of Course and ELL state assessments - Supportingtheoveralldistrictseducationalprogramthroughgeneralconsultationactivitiesandcommitteework
- Assistwiththeplacementofstudents inappropriatecareer andeducationalsettings
Qualifications

- Teaching experiencepreferred.
- Schoolcounseling experiencepreferred.
- Demonstratedsuccessinmediation& relationshipbuilding.
