Job Summary

Reports To: Building Administrator

Description:

Thedistrict isseekingahighly motivatedindividualto serve asaCTEMechatronicsinstructorinthe CSI Center for Science and Industry program.

Qualifications:

  • Possess a validCTEMichigan teaching certificatewhich allows the holder to instruct courses under CIP 14.4201 OR
  • 4000 industry related hours inan Engineering Mechanical Drafting Electronics or a STEM fieldand bewilling to enroll inand completea CTE program ofworkleading to endorsement.

  • Successful prior experienceutilizingtechnology to deliver engaging instruction.
  • Successful experience working with/instructing secondary students preferred.
  • Applicants must possess strong interpersonal skills and a strong desire to promote student success.

  • Applicant is comfortable and willing to learn and teach electronics robotics and programmable logic controllers.
  • Willingness to engage in all aspects of the assignment including but not limited to live instruction studentsupportand mentoring.
  • Willingness toparticipatein targeted professional developmentand apply new knowledge innovative instructionalapproachesand district-approved platforms.
  • Applicantmustpossessstrong instructionalskills and be able totransfer those skills to students.
  • Applicantmustpossessstrongtechnology skills.
  • Applicantmustpossessdesire and familiarity with addressing the social and emotional needs of the learners.
  • Applicantmust recognize and embrace the assignment as part of thedistrictprofessional team.
  • Staff will be tasked with program compliance including but not limited to:CTE compliancepupil accounting records compilationmaintenanceand submission.
