Cook/Floater - Corporate Dining Location: 42 Future Way Draper UT
Compensation: $17-$18/hour Full-Time
Schedule: Monday-Friday 6:30am-2:30pm
Job Summary
As a Cook/Floater you will provide versatile culinary support across multiple kitchen stations ensuring consistent food quality and service. This role requires adaptability strong cooking skills and the ability to step into various positions as needed to maintain smooth kitchen operations during peak hours staff absences or special events.
What Youll Do
- Prepare and cook food items according to standardized recipes and procedures.
- Rotate between stations (grill sauté prep pantry etc.) based on daily staffing needs.
- Assist in opening and closing duties including setup breakdown and cleaning.
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages to supervisors.
- Support special events catering or high-volume service as needed.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and quality food service.
- Follow all company policies and procedures including safety and hygiene protocols.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What You Will Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum 12 years of cooking experience in a commercial kitchen.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.
- Strong multitasking and time management skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts and stations
- High volume catering bar & grill hot entree preparation experience preferred
- ServSafe Certification and State Food Handlers Card required
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen
Physical and Sensory Requirements
- This job involves regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and a kitchen environment with fumes airborne particles and moderate noise. Employees must have the physical stamina to stand for long periods lift trays and perform repetitive tasks. Occasional exposure to wet or humid conditions extreme temperatures and vibration may occur. Reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities.
