Were seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Environmental Health & Safety Manager to lead safety initiatives and coach our Quality Control (QC) team through practical hands-on compliance training.
What Youll Do:
- Create and lead safety and quality policies that meet legal requirements company standards and project-specific needs.
- Travel nationwide to meet with teams lead training and reinforce a proactive approach to health and safety.
- Track and analyze safety performance then act to improve processes and reduce risks.
- Coordinate and actively contribute to company-wide safety committees and incident review teams.
- Serve as the main contact for OSHA inspections handling logistics and fixing any compliance issues.
- Organize and lead safety training across the company including onboarding and monthly sessions.
- Develop clear and engaging training materials that are consistent across teams and departments.
- Perform mock OSHA audits to spot issues and prepare the Quality Control team for real inspections.
- Regularly check staff practices for safe equipment use chemical handling and compliance with cleaning standards.
- Keep chemical Safety Data Sheets (SDS) up to date and easy to access on all job sites.
- Track chemical inventory and safety tools for services like cleaning groundskeeping and maintenance.
- Develop evacuation procedures and run emergency drills both planned and surprise to test preparedness.
- Provide tips and support to reduce workplace injuries and improve ergonomic conditions.
- Stay updated on safety laws and regulations to ensure company-wide compliance.
What Youll Need:
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience working in Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) as a Safety Officer Safety Specialist Environmental Compliance Specialist Safety Consultant or similar roles.
- Minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience overseeing and/or implementing safety programs. Minimum of 1 to 2 years of team lead supervisory or managerial experience in safety facilities operations or compliance settings.
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with EHS Management Software (CompuClean).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Outlook Excel SharePoint).
- Strong knowledge of OSHA guidelines workplace compliance and incident response procedures.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Federal Security Clearance.
- Must be able to travel; nationwide up to 50% of the time.
- Must have a valid drivers license.
Preferred Skills:
- Bachelors degree in environmental science Occupational Safety Industrial Engineering or a related field.
- Certifications such as OSHA 30/500 CSP or CIH.
- Bilingual abilities a plus (verbal and written).
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize task.
- Strong analytical skills with a collaborative approach to workplace safety.
- Strong communication and leadership skills for coaching and cross-functional engagement.
