An Executive Sales professional in a hardware storedrives revenue by identifying client needs providing technical expertise on products like power tools and construction materials and closing sales. They maintain client relationships manage inventory checks and often assist with B2B or B2C sales requiring strong communication negotiation and product knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
  • Sales Generation:Identify potential clients (contractors homeowners) generate new business and close sales deals to meet monthly/quarterly targets.
  • Technical Product Advisory:Provide detailed information on hardware tools and materials; recommend appropriate products for specific projects.
  • Relationship Management:Maintain relationships with existing clients and establish rapport with new customers to ensure satisfaction.
  • Order & Inventory Management:Process customer orders check inventory levels and manage stock.
  • Market Analysis & Reporting:Monitor competitor products track market trends and report on sales performance.
  • Client Support:Offer after-sales support handle inquiries and provide solutions to technical problems.
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Experience:Previous sales experience preferably in hardware construction or retail environments.
  • Knowledge:Deep understanding of hardware products including fasteners hand/power tools and materials.
  • Skills:Strong negotiation closing communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Technical Skills:Proficiency in SalesforceMS Office Suite and CRM tools.
  • Education:Bachelors degree in Business or related field is often preferred though experience may substitute.
Physical Requirements (If Applicable)
  • Ability to stand/walk for long periods lift heavy materials (up to 25 lbs) and manage stock on shelves
