Position: Senior Developer - AI/ML Enterprise Financial company
Remote working policy: Hybrid start (1 day/week in Prague) then full-time remote
Employment type: Freelancer/ Contract

Budget rate: 8000 CZK/day

This is a remote position that requires 1 day/week on-site in Prague to start. After this fully remote is possible. Requires Czech language.

About the Opportunity

Are you a backend engineer who values quality over quick fixes

Were looking for a skilled Developer to join a collaborative engineering team on a contract basis. Youll play a key role in shaping the backend architecture of a large-scale high-traffic platform used by a broad user base.

This is a global enterprise AI/ML project for a financial institution where you will receive strong support and top level direction.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys writing clean maintainable code solving real-world scalability challenges and working with other experienced engineers in a supportive environment.

Tech Stack

Core: / Koa
Data: PostgreSQL MongoDB Redis Sequelize / Prisma / Mongoose
Testing: Jest / Mocha / Supertest
DevOps: Docker CI/CD AWS / Azure / GCP
Nice to Have: GraphQL React knowledge

What Youll Do

Design and build scalable REST/GraphQL APIs
Improve and modernize existing systems
Optimize performance reliability and security
Collaborate with frontend developers and product teams
Contribute to code reviews and engineering standards

Ideal Profile

Design and build scalable REST/GraphQL APIs
Hands-on experience with in production environments
Experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs or backend services
Good understanding of asynchronous programming and common patterns
Practical experience with SQL or NoSQL databases (e.g. PostgreSQL MongoDB Redis)
Comfortable owning features from implementation through deployment with guidance when needed
Exposure to debugging monitoring and supporting live systems
Familiarity with Docker CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms is a plus
Czech communication skills required
