Job Summary
Remuneration: CTC R90000 R140000 per annum
Purpose Of The Job:
Our client is looking for a motivated Automotive Apprentice Technician to join their workshop team.
This role is ideal for a young technician or trainee who wants to build a career in the rapidly growing electric vehicle industry. The apprentice will work closely with the High Voltage Technician assisting with servicing diagnostics repairs and general workshop duties while gaining practical EV experience.

Workshop Support

Workshop Support
- Assist with basic vehicle servicing and maintenance
- Perform routine inspections and pre-delivery checks
- Support diagnostics and repair tasks under supervision
- Assist with parts removal refitting and general workshop tasks
- Maintain a clean safe and organised workshop environment
- Learn electric vehicle systems tools and processes
- Assist with high-voltage safety procedures (under supervision)
- Support fault finding and electrical troubleshooting
- Participate in technical training and skills development
- Assist with job cards and workshop documentation
- Support parts control packaging and inventory tasks
- Assist with vehicle handovers and collections when required
- Matric / Grade 12
- Technical or mechanical training (N1N3 technical school or equivalent) preferred
- Basic mechanical knowledge or workshop exposure
- Valid drivers license (or working toward one)
- Willingness to learn and build a career in the automotive or EV industry
- On-the-job training in electric vehicle technology
- Growth path toward qualified EV or High Voltage Technician
- Previous experience in a workshop environment
- Exposure to electrical or electronic systems
- Technical college or apprenticeship program enrolment
- Interest in electric vehicles or new automotive technologies
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Willingness to learn and take instruction
- Good attention to detail
- Positive attitude and team-oriented
- Basic problem-solving ability
