Westwood High School is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our instructional team in the role of EAL Support Teacher

Requirements:

Bachelor of Education

Desired Qualifications/Skills:

Experience with the implementation of learning strategies to support EAL students.
Philosophy of inclusion and support for all learners.
An ability to design and implement curriculum materials to engage struggling learners incorporating strategies of differentiated instruction.
Knowledge of working with EAL students.
Proven ability to establish good rapport with students.
Familiarity with Alberta High School curricula.
Commitment to being a member of a Learning Team including involvement in the creation of IPPs modifying curricula where appropriate and ensuring appropriate learning accommodations where necessary.
A commitment to continuous professional growth.
