Job Summary
Center for Youth: Started BY YOUTH FOR YOUTH. We partner with youth to realize their full potential by creating opportunities removing barriers and promoting social justice. The Center ensures understanding and values differences in people of diverse cultures ethnic origins sexual orientation disabilities and beliefs.
Overview:
The Counseling and Runaway and Homeless Youth (RHY) Department provides a continuum of essential services to the most vulnerable youth in our community including two crisis nurseries an emergency shelter permanent and transitional housing a food and clothing pantry street outreach and support for minor victims of commercial sexual exploitation.
Schedule: Full time 37.5 hours per week. Sunday-Thursday 10 am-6 pm with flexibility to accommodate client and family needs
Location: Emergency Shelter
Responsibilities:
- Case management
- Assessments and service plans
- Crisis intervention
- Referrals and follow-up
- Aftercare
- Youth transportation
- Youth advocacy
- Maintenance of client confidentiality
- Support daily shelter activities (youth routines supervision meals life skills recreations activities etc.)
- Maintenance of facility and grounds
- Partnership with youth & family counselor on youth case coordination
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Human Services OR Equivalent combination of experience and education
- Knowledge of youth asset development and risk reduction theory and youth serving systems community resources partnerships and collaborations
- A valid Drivers license

Pay Rate: $22.50- $24.50 per hour
