Job Summary

Introduction

The San Joaquin County Sheriffs Office is seeking a highly motivated internal candidate to fill one Sheriffs Captain vacancy and to fill any future vacancies. The Sheriffs Captain is a management-level supervisor critical in the organization and administration of the department. The incumbent will be expected to effectively manage their division by demonstrating strong work ethic and leadership skills including accountability for oneself and others while facing the challenges of public sector law enforcement. This eligible list may also be used to fill future vacancies.

This is a departmental promotional recruitment. To qualify candidates must be currently employed by the San Joaquin CountySheriffs Office and meet all eligibility requirements for promotional opportunities.
