Senior Payment Operations Specialist

Description:

The Senior Payment Operations Specialist supports enterprise payment operations by managing issue intake conducting research across internal systems and coordinating resolution with internal and external partners. This role serves as a central operational resource ensuring payment-related issues are addressed efficiently and consistently while maintaining continuity across workflows and initiatives.

This is a full-time non-exempt position. Employees in this role are eligible for overtime pay for hours worked beyond 40 in a workweek.

Some of the specific duties are listed below:

  • Manage and triage incoming payment-related inquiries through the shared payments inbox.
  • Research payment account-level and transaction-level issues using internal systems and tools.
  • Coordinate issue resolution with internal teams and external partners across the organization.
  • Support payment-related account terminations reconciliations and follow-up activities.
  • Identify recurring issues and recommend process or workflow improvements.
  • Maintain documentation and visibility in order to issue trends and resolutions.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience supporting payment operations or related financial workflows.
  • Strong research and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively across multiple internal teams.
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Ability to work independently while supporting broader team objectives.
  • 3 years experience in payment operations required.

Location:

This position is based out of the Milliman office in Omaha Nebraska. Candidates hired into this role must be willing to work onsite full-time.
