The Account Manager is responsible for hitting sales goals of the business unit. The Account Manager is responsible for the sales of designated products by telephone email in-person with customers in a defined market (automotive/industrial/aerospace). This role will be expected to contribute to the achievement of commercial objectives in alignment with Nylok corporate goals. The Account Manager maintains effective customer relations develops opportunities for growth and assures market penetration and profitability. This position requires individuals to use creativity and an ability to think on their feet quickly to meet customer needs while maintaining ethics and compliance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Deliver on corporate objectives specific to market

  • Develop and maintain effective customer relations with key contacts within assigned market.
  • Verbalize value proposition of Nylok products.
  • Understand the customer journey and how Nylok products may impact applications.
  • Overcome objections to educate clients on the value of assigned products.
  • Maintain a pipeline of opportunities to meet or exceed sales objectives.
  • Strong desire to grow and develop client relationships.
  • Maintain accurate reporting records and files necessary for proper management of territory.
  • Communicate with supervisor any customer issues or potential problems perform other tasks assigned by manager.

Create a face to the internal and external customer that demonstrates Nylok commitment to bringing value and solutions to the customers we serve

  • Collaborate with peers marketing outside sales and sales reps to share information and implement market initiatives/strategies.
  • Create build and maintain relationships and regular communications and sales efforts with customers and all others pertinent to Nylok business.
  • Responsible for prospecting new businesses and lead generations on an ongoing basis
  • Professionally and ethically represent Nylok to external customers and foster their respect by demonstrating our commitment to providing technical support and solutions.

Take responsibility for ongoing professional development to maximize effectiveness in advancing Nylok objectives.

  • Leverage internal training and development.
  • Refine ability to navigate complex and multi-layered accounts.
  • Refine ability to effectively communicate and engage with customers while leveraging Nylok internal resources.

POSITION QUALIFICATION:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Manufacturing or related field.
  • 2 years of experience required; 2-5 years and/or internships of experience in inside or online sales/customer support preferred
  • Previous manufacturing sales experience strongly preferred
  • Proficient with corporate productivity tools such as Excel Outlook Word and web presentation tools
  • Experience with or ability to learn Customer Relationship Management software required
  • Proven record of establishing goals and achieving results (sales and/or non-sales related)
  • Thrives in ambiguity and uncertainty; can adapt quickly in any situation and asks questions to increase depth of understanding

  • Position may require periodic evening and weekend work as necessary to fulfill obligations. Frequent travel up to 10% domestically.
