The Commercial Senior HVAC/Refrigeration Technician (Building Engineer Senior Analyst) helps keep building systems running safely and efficiently. This role focuses on HVAC refrigeration and general building systems to support a safe and comfortable work environment. The technician works independently and with a team in a fastpaced setting and may support multiple locations.
Responsibilities:
Use the building automation system (BAS/BMS) to monitor troubleshoot and repair system issues. Work with BMS technicians as needed.
Inspect maintain and repair HVAC and refrigeration equipment to ensure safe and proper operation.
Assist the Chief or Supervisor with managing subcontractors when needed.
Review work orders in the CMMS system and estimate time and materials for repairs.
Order materials and maintain proper inventory.
Follow the preventive maintenance program to help equipment reach or exceed its expected life.
Perform routine emergency and preventive maintenance repairs.
Complete all maintenance and repair records accurately.
Respond quickly to emergency situations and request help when needed.
Perform general building repairs including basic painting plumbing and electrical work.
Handle calls and service requests from the site operations team.
Communicate clearly and build positive working relationships.
Follow all safety rules and OSHA guidelines.
Help train and mentor team members.
Work in a fastpaced highenergy environment.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required.
Universal CFC certification required.
At least 1 year of HVAC experience or equivalent education and experience.
Refrigeration experience required.
Ability to work safely and protect the safety of others.
Ability to read and understand documents and mechanical drawings.
Basic computer skills including Microsoft Outlook Word Excel and PDF files.
Ability to stand walk stoop climb stairs or ladders and lift or carry 50 pounds or more.
Must complete OSHA 10 training within 6 months of hire.
Work in multi-location and on call as needed.
Schedule: 8:00am 4:30pm Monday - Friday
