Behavioral Health Unit AssistantCNA 36 hours, nights

Job Summary:

Job Description:

• Assists with keeping the therapeutic environment safe clean orderly and appropriately stocked.
• Communicates in a therapeutic manner uses de-escalation techniques and reports abnormal findings or changes in physical mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
• Performs basic patient care activities as delegated by an RN including monitoring vital signs taking blood glucose measurements and recording intake and output.

Your Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Enrolled in a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) course within one year of hire is required. Certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) is required within 18 months of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) are required within 6 months of hire.
• A minimum of one year of directly related work experience is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications is desired.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
