Casual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
We are seeking a casual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our collaborative and multidisciplinary Rehab team.
This updated position offers true variety with the option to work in both outpatient and inpatient settings including:
- Midweek outpatient opportunities in pediatrics and adults based on your interest and our scheduling needs
- Inpatient coverage with a minimum requirement of 1 weekend per month
- Holiday rotation of 1 holiday per year in the inpatient setting
- We have immediate opportunities to pick up additional hoursMayAugust to support staff time off
This is a flexible and diverse role ideal for an SLP who enjoys a mix of patient populations and practice settings. Clinical opportunities include:
- Inpatient evaluation and treatment
- Outpatient adult and pediatric caseloads
- Completion of video swallow studies
- Working closely with a highly supportive team of PT OT and SLP colleagues

Job Summary:
Speech Language Pathologists are health care professionals who address the restoration of maximum function by providing diagnostic evaluative and treatment services to clients with speech language voice or swallowing problems.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Provides Speech/Language evaluation treatment planning and treatment implementation to clients of all ages; addresses individual developmental cognitive and physical needs as well as cultural differences.
Coordinates client care with other disciplines through good communication and intervention recommendations.
Provides education information and training to clients family caregivers and community to promote continuity of care optimum therapeutic outcome and community health.
Maintains documentation and records of treatment performance to assure quality client care meet regulatory and professional standards and receive optimal reimbursement.
Acts as a consultant to internal and external customers.
Maintains education knowledge and training required to provide up-to-date quality care to meet client case load and community needs and meet minimum national and state licensure requirements.
Oversees Speech/Language students and volunteers.
Participates in quality improvement and peer review to assure effective and efficient services.
Performs all other related duties as assigned.
Education Training or Degree Required:
1. Masters Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
License/Registration/Certification Required: (will be primary source verified by HR)
Current license as a Speech Language Pathologist by the State of Minnesota.
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology granted by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association or meets the educational requirements for certification and is able to accumulate the supervised experience required for certification.
Current CPR certification required
Experience and Skills: (indicate preferred or required)
Previous work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist is desirable but not required.
