About the role
Storm overflows are a major concern for our customers and communities and we are committed to leading the industry in reducing their impact. Our Clean Rivers & Seas Task Force is delivering a pioneering 1.5bn programme over the next five years to reduce spills minimise reliance on storm overflows and enhance the natural environment. As a Storm Overflow Technician you will play a key role inmaintaining monitoring and improving storm overflow systems. You will work at the frontline of environmental improvement helping us deliver sustainable and innovative interventions across the region.
What you willbe responsible for:
Conducting field investigations withinallocatedcatchments to understand the root causes of CSO activation
Reviewing CCTV footage andcontractorcollecteddata toidentifyissues anddeterminepractical solutions
Working closely with civils separation contractors to develop efficientcost-effectiveseparation approaches
Attending local customerdropinevents to engage with the public and provide project updates
Identifyingissues early and implementing effective solutions to ensure infrastructure resilience during adverse weather
Supporting the wider Clean Rivers & Seas Task Force in delivering environmental improvements across the region
Additionalrequirements specific to the role
Participation in incident support rotas as(details discussed at interview)Hybrid working across sites catchments and home
Comfortable engaging with customers and stakeholders at community events

Excellent organisation and attention to detail particularly when reviewing footage and survey data
Valid UK driving licence

Experience engaging with members of the public
Familiarity with CCTV review or survey data analysis
