Job Summary
Rutland Town School is seeking a 1.0 FTE Physical Education and Health teacher for grades 5-8 to begin March 2 2026 until June 1 2026. The successful candidate will possess the following attributes:Knowledge of best practices regarding physical education and healthAbility to create effective lessons differentiate instruction and assess student progress for the purpose of providing an effective program that addresses individual needKnowledge of effective student management protocolsAbility to create and maintain an effective and developmentally appropriate learning environment for studentsKnowledge of assessments and use of data to inform instruction Evidence of strong connection with students and familiesStrong communication skills and time managementExperience in or knowledge of a Professional Learning Community and following district and school initiatives policies and proceduresOngoing educational trainingLicensed or eligible for Vermont Educators LicenseRutland Town School is a Pre-K-8 school with 350 students.
