THIS IS A GRANT-FUNDED POSITION FUNDED UNTIL JUNE 30 2028

JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:The Project Coordinator assists with oversight management and coordination of large Tennessee Department of Health grant. This position works closely with the Principal Investigator in assuring all aspects of the program are implemented according to the grant work plan including tracking of grant participants and their activities. This position will serve as a liaison between project partners and technical assistance/expert consultants. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for assisting in coordinating education and training events assisting with sub-awards facilitating monthly meetings with grant faculty/staff providing technological support and performing all other duties as directed by the Principal Investigator (PI) and Co-Investigators.



Responsibilities
  1. Responsible for day-to-day coordination and implementation of grant objectives and work plan.

  2. Provides overall planning and coordination of resources tasks and necessary steps to complete the grant strategic plan within the specified time frame.

  3. Assists PI and grant team with implementation of all aspects of the program according to the grant work plan.

  4. Communicates with and guides all grant personnel on a regular basis to ensure milestones are met and progressing as projected.

  5. Coordinates the tracking of all grant participants who have completed grant funded educational activities.

  6. Assists with the coordination scheduling and logistics/supplies for the education and training events and programs.

  7. Facilitates monthly meetings with grant faculty and staff including assisting with the scheduling of meetings and providing status reports of activities/participants at monthly meetings.

  8. Assists the grant team in gathering needed data for grant reporting.

  9. Prepares written material ensuring accurate and effective representation of the program.

  10. Assists with compiling data and preparing reports.

  11. Performs other duties as assigned.



Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION: Bachelors Degree. (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED)

EXPERIENCE:Two (2) years of management and research experience in academic setting; ORMasters degree in lieu of experience; ORa combination of education and experience to equal six (6) years.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to compile information into report form and collaborate on the production of abstracts and manuscripts.
  • Skilled using Microsoft products including Word and Excel.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Excellent organizational skills and persistent follow-through with delegated task.
  • Ability to consistently achieve assigned deadlines.
  • Ability to interact with sensitivity and social/cultural competence with people of a wide range of ages and cultures.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate administer and follow up on participant appointments.

WORK SCHEDULE:This position may occasionally be required to work evenings. May require occasional overnight travel.
