Bachelors Degree Nursing Required
Masters Degree Nursing Education or related Healthcare field Preferred
1 Year Staff development or adult education experience. Required
3 Years Clinical experience including 2 years in area of specialty or 2 years in the Clinical Education department Required
RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required
Effective leadership and interpersonal skills; verbal and written communication skills in English; current knowledge of professional and health care issues and nursing practice. Well organized. Must be tech savvy and have familiarity with utilizing a Learning Management System.
What You Will Do
Program Design Development and Implementation
- Develops and deploys clinical skill and competency development programs for acute care and other hospital departments.
- Leads education efforts for high-risk/low-volume procedures and changes in clinical practice including documentation updates.
- Supports onboarding transition-to-practice programs academic partnerships and continuing education initiatives.
- Serves as a resource for clinical staff including support with technology utilization such as the competency content and management systems deployed at Texas Health.
Change Management & Coaching
- Facilitates adoption of new clinical practices and tools through coaching and bedside support utilizing ADKAR to provide change management structure
- Assists staff in navigating change and integrating evidence-based practices into daily workflows.
Consultation & Collaboration
- Acts as a consultant to unit leaders and managers to assess educational needs and develop tailored learning solutions.
- Participates in root cause analyses board of nursing investigations and shared governance activities (e.g. Unit-Based Councils NCAP committees).
Competency & Accreditation Support
- Maintains documentation for clinical competencies and supports accreditation readiness.
- Collaborates with coordinators to ensure proper storage and tracking of competency records.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Communicates regularly with clinical teams and leadership to assess satisfaction identify gaps and troubleshoot educational challenges.
- Builds strong relationships across departments to foster a culture of learning and excellence.
