Job Summary
Job Title: Psychiatric Social Health Tech (PSHT)
Location: New York NY
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule & Shift
5 Days per Week
37.5 Hours per Week
Shift: 7:00 AM 3:30 PM
On-Call: Not Required
Compensation
Gross Weekly Pay: $1547
W2 Rate: $17/hour
Weekly Stipend: $910
Position Overview
A leading healthcare facility in New York is seeking an experienced Psychiatric Social Health Technician (PSHT) to support adult behavioral health services within a secure inpatient setting. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in behavioral health environments and demonstrate strong observational communication and patient care skills.
Responsibilities
Assist in the care supervision and support of adult behavioral health patients
Support nursing and clinical teams with daily patient activities and therapeutic interventions
Maintain safety and security within a structured inpatient or correctional healthcare environment
Observe document and report patient behaviors mood changes and incidents
Adhere to all facility departmental and regulatory policies and procedures
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of experience in Behavioral Health
Active AHA BLS certification (required)
Experience in inpatient psychiatric and/or correctional settings preferred
Strong documentation and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a secure environment
