Job Summary
Job Description
We are recruiting on behalf of a leading organisation for a seasoned Solutions Architect on a contract basis who thrives at the intersection of business architecture and hands-on delivery. This role calls for a technically strong architect who can consult at executive level while still engaging deeply with development teams to ensure seamless implementation.
Responsibilities:
- Engage business and systems stakeholders to analyse refine and validate requirements
- Facilitate fit/gap analysis and contribute to business requirements documentation
- Design end-to-end solution architectures including logical and physical design artefacts
- Break down high-level components into functional deliverables for development teams
- Guide migration planning from source to target architecture
- Identify architectural risks and implement mitigation strategies
- Oversee governance standards alignment and architectural review processes
- Provide post-release oversight to ensure functional and architectural integrity
- Where required contribute hands-on in Java development aligned to best practice standards
Requirements:
- 10 years experience in Java development with at least 2 years in a Solution or Systems Architect role
- Architectural certification (TOGAF Prince or equivalent)
- Project Management qualification
- Strong experience in microservices architecture cloud environments and system integration
- Solid understanding of the Java ecosystem including Spring Hibernate REST/SOAP services Kafka Docker Kubernetes and SQL
- Ability to translate logical designs into scalable secure physical implementations
- Strong stakeholder engagement and presentation skills
