Job Summary
JOB DESCRIPTION
Employees in this role design and implement test plans to ensure that software functions as expected to meet or exceed customers standards.
TheVertafore QA Analyst I will be instrumental in Vertafores ongoing success within the insurance industry. QA Analysts work with development teams focusing onprovidingthe best products for our valued customers.
CoreRequirements andResponsibilities:
Essential job functions included but are not limited to the following:
- Maintain knowledge of current applications
- Use available tools to provide project tracking documentation and status
- Ensuretimelyand effective delivery of the solution from one phase to the next
- Analyze business specs to plan develop and implement detailed test strategies
- Adaptable to changing priorities and can quickly get things done and figure it out with minimal requirements and guidance
- Writes and checks own test cases for quality with guidance from senior QA analysts;submitstest cases for review
- Learns test methodologies risk assessment focusing on manual testing and develops initial understanding of software development and Vertafore products
- Completes manual front-end user testing of features or aspects of the products according to the test plan with guidance from senior QA analysts
- Identifiesand communicates potential bugs or defects
- Opens bugs andsubmitsfor review by senior QA analysts
- Documents test cases
- Contribute to the automation process with the SEITs
- Other duties as assigned

- Ability to define problems collect data analyze dataestablishfacts and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to manage a broad range of deliverables in an ever-changing environment
- Ability tocomprehenddocumentation clearly and effectively
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Analytical - technical aptitude for developing automation
- Detail oriented;demonstratedability to handle multiple strategic projects and priorities with efficiency and accuracy
Qualifications:
- College degree preferred
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- An inherent drive to solve problems collaborate with others
- Strong presentationverbaland written skills as proven with well-written technical project client and related communications and presentations
- Knowledge of Insurance Industry
- Experience with CA Agile (Rally)SAFeqTest
Additional Requirements and Details:
- Travelrequiredup to10% of the time.
- Located and working fromanofficelocation.
- Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds.
- Frequent repetitive hand andarmmovementsrequiredtooperatea computer.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision (working on a computer etc.).
- Frequent sitting and/orstanding.
