Summary

The Supervisor Air Import Gateway is responsible for overseeing the Air import operations at our gateway facility ensuring efficient and effective delivery of cargo maintaining strong relationship with internal customers warehouse team and vendors. This role requires excellent communication and leadership skills as well as a deep understanding of logistics.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise the air import gateway operations.
  • Coordinate with the US local internal teams warehouse carriers and DSV Overseas agents to ensure timely and accurate shipment processing.
  • Ensure all gateway activities are carried out in compliance with any company guidelines.
  • Oversee the preparation of import documentation including customs paperwork shipping instructions and compliance documents.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international regulations and customs requirements.
  • Monitor and track shipment progress and proactively address any delays or issues that arise.
  • Train and develop team members provide guidance and support and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Identify process improvements opportunities and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency and profitability. Execute improvements goals and targets and measure performance through KPIs.
  • Maintain strong relationships with US local internal teams DSV Overseas agents carriers stakeholders and the other DSV Gateways to ensure a high level of service and continued improvement.

Educational background / Work experience

  • College degree preferred or minimum 5 years experience.
  • International transportation Global logistics & Supply Chain seminars.
  • Familiarity with freight forwarding customs brokerage and international logistics.

  • Proficient in using CW1 operating system
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Knowledge of industry best practices emerging trends in air import and understanding market conditions

  • Supervise and manage a team of Freight Forwarders in Air Import.

For this position the expected base pay range is $70304.00 - $93000.00. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors including relevant experience skills education or certifications and geographic location consistent with applicable laws and company policy.
