About the role
The St Vincents Hospital Heart and Lung Transplantation program is one of the largest and longest running programs in Australia with survival rates which exceed that of the international benchmarks.
The unit is the only heart and lung transplantation program in NSW and is a major referral centre for metropolitan and rural communities as well as South Australia.
Caring for pre and post heart and lung transplant recipients in a busy outpatient clinical environment.
Organising the logistics required for a heart or lung transplant and assisting the surgical team with transplant retrievals.
Administrative aspect to the role organising and managing complex patient care using Genie and Filemaker platforms.
About you
Currently registered as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency.
Previous experience in an acute hospital setting with CCU or ICU experience being desirable.
Demonstrated ability to work within the interdisciplinary team showing effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated effective time management skills and ability to prioritise competing workloads within a complex environment.
Demonstrated evidence of integration of theoretical knowledge and clinical skills critical thinking and analysis in their daily practice as a registered nurse.
