The Department
Alfred Mental & Addiction Health is responsible for the operation of services which focus on people with a mental illness residing in the Inner Southeastern area of Melbourne.
The Role
The Adult and Older Adult Service combines AMAH Adult/Older Adult Community Mental Health and Caulfield Aged and Liaison Psychiatry Services to provide comprehensive person-centred support for adults and older adults. We offer a wide range of therapeutic addiction trauma-informed and family violence line with the Royal Commission into Victorias Mental Health recommendations and the Victorian Mental Health and Wellbeing Act 2022 we are expanding our services to provide specialized expertise and broad-spectrum care including pathways for substance use rehabilitation recovery and trauma-focused care.
Our approach focuses on integrated treatment education peer support care planning and navigation supporting individuals at every stage of their recovery journey.

The Mobile Aged Psychiatry Service (MAPS) is based at St Kilda Rd Clinic and consists of an inter-disciplinary team which undertakes primary functions of community-based assessment treatment and case management of older persons with mental health problems living in the Inner Southeast region of Melbourne.
MAPS also provides a psychiatric Consultation & Liaison service to patients at Caulfield Hospital Transitional Care Program (TCP) facilities based upon referrals.
