2026 Hiring Range

$20.23/hr- $22.76/hr

2026 Full Range

$20.23/hr- $25.79/hr

Anticipated Work Schedule:Part-time to include mornings afternoons nights and weekends as may vary depending on program specific needs.

  • Our ideal candidate will be available to work weekends (Fri Sat Sun) and other times of theevening/day during scheduled events.

Duties And Responsibilities

Manager Duties

  • Assist the Coordinator in performing daily duties in a variety of recreation and rental operations. This includes but is not limited to shelter rentals rentals and birthday parties at the Erie Community Center
  • Act as Manager on Duty and lead orassistwith rental operations and aid in internal and external rental events
  • Provide exceptional guest service to all guests. Respond to information requests comments and complaints from the public
  • Maintain work area facilities equipment and reports
  • Set up tear down of event related equipmentrequired including but not limited to tables chairs tents trash cans signage decorations photoboothand other event/rental related items
  • Attend andparticipatein staff meetings and trainings
  • Mayassistwith training staff or volunteers
  • Ensure the safety of guests and program participants by enforcing all rules and policies with staff and guests while creating a fun environment. Report safety concerns as needed
  • Remain composed and makes sound judgments in any emergency or non-emergency situation. Respond to emergency situations administers first aid CPR or other medical attention as needed and complete incident reports
  • Maintain frequent communication with staff within the Community Center and Division and reports any issues or concerns with inventory facility conditionspoliciesand incidents to supervisory staff as needed
  • Provide direct supervision forstaffduringbirthdayparties events andrentals
  • Communicate program information or needs to the participants parents and/or community members
  • Organize andfacilitategames and/or activities
  • Manage event supply inventory to include preparing and collecting suppliesmonitoringinventory and making recommendations for new purchases

Town Wide Expectations/Duties

  • Serve as a professional ambassador of the Town bymaintaininga professional image a team-based collaborativeapproachand high ethical standards
  • Inspect facilities and program areas to ensure a safe environment. Report safety concerns as needed
  • Interpretcommunicateand enforce all Department Town County State and Federal policies and procedures within areas of program responsibility
  • Complete all required safety trainingsin a timely mannerand ensures staff compliance
  • Develop andaccomplishgoals andobjectivesto support the Department and Town mission

Other/Miscellaneous

  • Perform other related work asrequiredand assigned



Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • One(1)yearrelated customer servicerecreationor related experience preferred.

A combination of education and experience may be considered.

Certificates/Licenses/Registrations

  • Ability to obtain CPRAEDand First Aid certifications within three monthsof hire
