Six months of experience in sub-professional engineering heavy mobile equipment operation or mobile equipment maintenance plus four years of sub-professional engineering experience; OR
Twenty-four semester hours in one of the following specialized fields: architecture cartography construction management construction technology drafting engineering engineering graphics engineering technology industrial technology landscape architecture math or physics; OR
A bachelors degree in engineering engineering technology construction management or construction technology.Job Specification

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
- Serve as DOTDs technical expert in traffic monitoring equipment systems and technologies
- Manage and oversee the statewide inventory of traffic monitoring equipment including procurement maintenance and operational integrity
- Provide advanced technical guidance to engineers technicians and district personnel
- Develop evaluate and implement procedures standards and best practices for traffic monitoring systems
- Diagnose and resolve complex equipment system and data issues
- Serve as DOTDs representative in meetings with local state and federal partners
- Prepare technical reports analyses and recommendations for leadership decision-making
- Support installation inspection testing and calibration of permanent traffic monitoring equipment
- Evaluate new technologies and recommend innovations to improve data accuracy and reliability
- Assist with emergency or disaster response activities as needed
This role requires strong analytical skills technical judgment and the ability to work independently on complex non-routine issues.

Compensation:This position is eligible for premium pay of $1.00 per hour for all hours worked. Premium pay is subject to applicable rules and may change based on assignment funding or policy.How To Apply:
