Job Summary

Malaria Consortium are looking for a Health Economics Specialistto join the team in London UK.

The purpose of this role is todevelop the organisations capacity to include an economics perspective in its work to support costing of improved and new delivery strategies and interventionsandto contribute toanalysis of the interventionstostrengthenMalaria Consortiums capacitytotrackValue forMoney(VfM) inits work. The postholder will alsoprovide technicalassistanceto Ministries of Health and other partners andcontribute to theevaluationofthe benefits of new or proposed health post-holderwill be actively involved in organisational activities such asworking groupsand technical team meetings.

The post holder will have:

  • A degree in economicsmedical or health sciencespublic health mathematicsstatisticsor other relevant area in development

  • A postgraduate qualification in health economics

  • Significant experienceof undertaking costing exercises and economic evaluations

  • Experience building health economic models from scratch e.g. cost-effectiveness budgetimpactand Markovmodels

  • Experience in using decision analysismethods andsoftware

  • Experience in usingstatistical analysis software (STATASPSSor R)

  • Experience in developing the technical capabilitiesof colleagues through coaching mentoringtrainingor line management

This role operates on a hybrid working basis with a minimum requirement of four office days per month.
