A vacancy has arisen for a Corporal (People Ops People Specialist) to serve as 504 Sqn HQ JNCO HR at RAF Wittering on Full Time Reserve Service (Limited Commitment) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS) with an initial proposed start date of 03 August 2026 (or earlier/later subject to candidate status).

504 (County of Nottingham) Sqns mission is to attract train employ and retain reservist logisticians and engineers committed to delivering support to Air and Defence operations exercises and diverse tasks across the UK and overseas; and to raise the profile of 504 Sqn celebrating its proud history and promote the work of the RAF Reserves.

504 Sqn HQ Clerk will be the HR SME responsible to OC 504 Sqn through XO 504 Sqn for the efficient administration of 504 Sqn personnel. Specifically 504 Sqn JNCO HR will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Responsible for the overall management of 504 Sqns HR Team and coherence of all administrative support to all 504 Sqn SP.
• Action JPA processes ensuring move & track is managed and that all pay entries allowances and personal details are maintained.
• Staff all HR correspondence to RPMC (Pay Allowances Career Management Appraisals and Promotions etc).
• Administer & manage all aspects of the mobilisation and de-mobilisation process.
• Manage authorisations and processes for attendance attendance based pay process Certificates of Efficiency and Bounty payments.
• Collate and coordinate monthly statistical returns for the CoC.
• Manage and mentor HR (PTVR) supervise delegation of tasks within their area of responsibilities.
• Control & maintain personal documentation IAW AP3392 Vol 2 and coordinate the archiving of hard copy documents.
• Provide specialist advice guidance and direction to Sqn Cdr and Sqn Execs on all HR matters.

Additional tasks to include Mobilisation and HR briefs liaison with sister Sqns (within RLSW) and point of contact for all HR queries for the PTVRs. Act as the lead for HR External Visits from Reserves Support.

As Reservists in general work at weekends the successful applicant will be expected to work a minimum of 1 weekend per month at RAF Wittering or other working locations as required with time off in lieu during the week. There is also a requirement to support periods of Annual Continuous Training.
