Role Purpose The Program Manager is a visionary leader who partners with individuals to help them discover and achieve their aspirations needs and desires. Acting as a mentor and role model for Lead Direct Support Professionals and DSPs you will demonstrate how to empower individuals to lead self-directed lives. You will be responsible for cultivating an environment that promotes personal growth effective communication and meaningful community integration.
Core Responsibilities:
Holistic Evaluation and Overview: Evaluate all aspects of an individuals quality of life including staffing supports social dynamics daily activities and the physical home environment to ensure they align with the individuals goals and desires.
Mentorship: Coaches Lead DSPs and staff through monthly meetings and real-time feedback to drive professional growth.
Management: Handles the full employee lifecycle including onboarding scheduling performance reviews and grievance resolution.
Development: Facilitates social vocational and community engagement opportunities to improve the individuals quality of life.
Person-Centered Care: Leads the Individual Support Plan (ISP) process and ensures all care decisions align with the residents personal goals and desires.
Compliance: Conducts weekly audits of Medication Administration Records (MARs) and manages medical waste disposal.
Expertise: Maintains certifications in medication administration and acts as a clinical mentor to Direct Support Professionals (DSPs).
Regulatory Standards: Ensures the facility meets Chapter 6400/6100 regulations and Parzival policies.
Safety & Logistics: Oversees home maintenance nutritious meal planning fire drills and incident reporting.
Stakeholder Relations: Acts as a liaison between families support coordinators and clinical teams.
Crisis Response: Remains available for after-hours emergencies and provides direct care or transportation when staffing shortages occur.
Minimum Qualifications
- An Associates degree or 60 credits from an accredited college or university and 2 years work experience working directly with persons with intellectual disabilities; or High School Diploma or GED and 4 years work experience working directly with persons with intellectual disabilities.
