Work Integrated Learning CoordinatorStudent Success Services6 Month Term PositionRegina Saskatoon or Northern CampusAs part of the Student Success Services team and reporting to the Manager of the Career Centre the Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) Coordinator plays a key role in supporting First Nations University of Canada students in gaining meaningful workplace experience aligned with their academic career and community goals. The WIL Coordinator develops and maintains relationships with employers Indigenous communities and Nations industry partners and internal academic units to create high-quality placement internship applied research co-op and other experiential learning WIL Coordinator will support students throughout the WIL process provide career-readiness training and ensure strong data tracking and reporting to demonstrate impact and support program growth. The WIL Coordinator will support Student Success Services holistic approach to student transitions and development. This position further contributes to FNUnivs mission by strengthening pathways to employment supporting labour market development and enhancing relationships with community and industry First Nations University of Canada (FNUniv) allows students of all nations to learn in an environment of First Nations cultures and values. Work as part of the Career Centre team to develop implement and expand services of the Career Centre. Support students through the complete WIL cycle including intake readiness coaching matching onboarding progress monitoring and placement a sense of community among WIL participants through events collaborative activities and culturally grounded development and delivery of student programming such as resume and interview preparation professionalism and workplace expectations and cultural safety supports for with and/or supervise Student Success Services student peer mentors/ambassadors as appropriately matched. Provide job development and employment advising for ConnectionsCollaborate with faculty and academic units to integrate WIL into courses certificates micro-credentials and community-based delivery current program requirements and opportunities to grow WIL opportunities. Collaborate with FNUniv staff as needed to ensure that academic requirements are being met through WIL opportunities for example Academic Advising and the Registrars Office and lead celebrations of student achievements within WIL at with faculty and partners to ensure high-quality WIL placements reflect Indigenous-informed ConnectionsDevelop and maintain strong partnerships with employers community organizations and Indigenous communities to create high quality WIL opportunities such as internships co-ops applied research and community-engaged with partners to support analyze student entrance and transition to work with partners to create a welcoming inclusive and culturally safe environment for students entering WIL Quality & ReportingMarket and communicate WIL opportunities to students industry partners and faculty. Perform an environment scan of current FNUniv WIL opportunities. Gather data on current WIL opportunities and develop a database to track and analyze information. Report on WIL KPIs and requirements on a regular risk management safety documentation placement agreements schedules and reporting requirements are completed in alignment with university and funding and evaluate WIL program success using assessments data collection and continuous improvement professional judgment to resolve issues mediate challenges and adapt placements when and maintain strong relationships with Elders Knowledge Keepers and Cultural :Post-secondary degree in Business Career Development Human Resources Education Indigenous Studies or a related field.3 years experience in career services WIL/experiential learning employer relations or employment programming preferred.3 years experience working in the post-secondary sector is considered an asset. Experience working with Indigenous students communities industry and/or organizations is considered a strong in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word PowerPoint and Outlook) and able to adapt to new computer technologiesKnowledge Skills And Abilities RequiredStrong relationship-building skills with employers community partners and Indigenous of labour market trends career development practices and work-integrated learning to work collaboratively with students faculty staff and external communication facilitation and problem-solving to handle confidential information and maintain accurate records and to work and keep motivated of post-secondary academic programs processes and of student development philosophies research and be able to drive within Saskatchewan incumbent must hold a class 5 drivers Range: APT Grade 5 ($67075 - $90315)If you are interested in this opportunity please apply online .
