The Opportunity

This position works out of our Plano TX location in the Neuromodulation Division. Our Neuromodulation business includes implantable devices compatible with mobile technology to help people who suffer from chronic pain and movement disorders. These non-opioid therapies allow us to provide interventional pain therapy to patients throughout the pain continuum.

As an MRI Engineer you design and test implantable medical devices to ensure MRI safety under guidance. You execute MRI tests effectively. You have great opportunities to learn about MRI safety class III medical device development process and project management.

What Youll Do

• Develop and Maintain custom software for MRI modeling and testing

• Design for MRI safety under guidance

• Execute testing for MRI safety

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Physics Electrical Engineering Computer Science Biomedical Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.

• Three plus years of progressively more responsible design and experience.

• Ability to meet deadlines. Must work in Plano TX.

• Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.

• Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced changing environment.

• Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of electromagnetic fields and human body interactions

• Working knowledge of MRI scanner hardware (RF coils magnet etc.)

• Experience in high frequency numerical electromagnetic simulations (HFSS Sim4Life etc.)

• Working knowledge of ISO/TS 10974 and IEC

• Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross-division business unit model preferred.

• Develop and Maintain custom software for MRI modeling and testing

• Design for MRI safety under guidance

• Execute testing for MRI safety
