DescriptionThe Project Coordinator is an individual contributor working on will manage day-to-day tasks to complete the research project (e.g. assist PI for IRB application and amendments communicate with participants or potential participants monitor survey status manage payment for research participants). They will be responsible for oversight of student research assistants who may assist in Home Environment and Dementia Labs research. Supporting research efforts focused on enhancing the well-being of people living with dementia and their family caregivers.
This is a grant-funded position and is contingent upon the continued funding of the grant.
ResponsibilitiesManage participant recruitment and retention for projects in the HOME-AID Lab (Home-based
Optimization using Machine Learning for Environment and AI in Dementia).
Developing recruitment materials such as flyers online posts and community outreach content.
Engaging with potential participants through phone calls emails mailings and in-person communication.
- Coordinating community engagement activities to support recruitment goals documenting recruitment activities maintaining accurate records and preparing recruitment progress reports using Excel or similar tools.
- Manage essential day-to-day research operations including Assisting the Principal Investigator with IRB applications and amendments monitoring survey progress and data integrity in REDCap coordinating participant payment processing Ordering and tracking lab supplies as needed Ensuring compliance with study protocols and timelines.
- Lead and manage project coordination and team oversight including: Supervising research assistants supporting HOME-AID Lab projects (Home-based Optimization using Machine Learning for Environment and AI in Dementia) Communicating research responsibilities clearly and ensuring timely completion of assigned tasks coordinating with the Principal Investigator to organize lab community events and research activities maintaining effective team workflows and supporting collaborative project goals.
QualificationsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Epidemiology Public Health Nursing Gerontology or related field
- 4 years research coordination experience
- 2 years experience with IRB submissions REDCap survey management and participant recruitment.
Work Location:Knoxville TN onsite
Compensation and Benefits:
- UT market range: MR08
- Anticipated hiring range: $29/hr - $32/hr
