Job Title: Senior Big Data Support Engineer

Required Skills & Qualifications

8 10 years of experience in big data engineering and platform support
Strong hands-on experience with Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS Hive Spark etc.)
Proven expertise in Starburst (or Trino/Presto)
Hands-on experience with Tableau
Experience supporting JupyterHub in production environments
Strong understanding of capacity planning performance tuning and resource optimization
Excellent communication and documentation skills
Ability to balance hands-on engineering and team leadership responsibilities

Leadership Expectations

Lead technical initiatives with clear ownership and accountability
Mentor team members and review technical designs
Communicate platform health risks and improvement plans to stakeholders
Promote a culture of documentation optimization and continuous improvement
