As a Commercialization Director in our DAC business you will play a crucial role in leading / supporting project development building our project pipeline leading marketing activities engaging with government affairs and optimizing our processes and systems to support scale-up. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of a new business in GE Vernova and make a significant impact in developing and deploying breakthrough technology.Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Project Development Leadership:
- Assist in the identification and evaluation of potential DAC project sites
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to develop project proposals or schedules
- Help advance projects through the development phase along key internal and external stakeholders
- Support the due diligence process for new projects including feasibility studies and risk assessments.
- Help coordinate project timelines budgets and resource allocation.
- Commercial Pipeline Building:
- Identify and cultivate relationships with potential partners investors and stakeholders.
- Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and trends in the DAC industry.
- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of DAC projects tracking progress and milestones.
- Support the negotiation and execution of partnership agreements.
- Develop and deploy AI-first commercialization processes to support a range of applications in the commercial function
- Marketing Activities:
- Lead the development and implementation of marketing strategies to promote DAC projects and technologies.
- Assist in the creation of compelling content for various channels including website social media and press releases.
- Participate in industry conferences webinars and events to gain market insights raise awareness and generate interest.
- Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of marketing campaigns making data-driven adjustments as needed.
- Government Affairs Engagement:
- Stay informed about relevant policies regulations and incentives related to DAC and carbon removal.
- Engage with government agencies policymakers and industry associations to advocate for supportive policies.
- Represent the company in public forums providing expert insights and thought leadership on DAC technologies.
- Collaborate with the legal and compliance teams to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Environmental Science Engineering Business Public Policy or a related field.
- 10-15 years of experience in project development business development commercialization within the energy or carbon management sectors.
- Understanding of or willingness to learn about Direct Air Capture and carbon removal technologies and project monetization schema (e.g. voluntary and carbon compliance markets)
