RN-eICU PRN II

Job Summary

As part of a collaborative team it provides tele-nursing care focusing on early intervention to a diverse

population of critically ill adults across multiple ICUs. Accountable for utilizing the nursing process to

provide remote or direct patient care coordinate the provision of care and serve as a role model in

clinical practice and professional development. Blends caring compassion knowledge and integrity to

provide safe quality care that preserves patient autonomy dignity and rights. Will work one ICU shift per

schedule in ICU to maintain clinical knowledge and skills. Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities

Assesses the patient

Implements and evaluates the plan of care

Coordinates provision of care

Decreases the risk of clinical problems for assigned ICU patients

Communicates with others in providing patient care

Participates in activities designed to improve health care delivery.

Provides clinical leadership

Supports lifelong learning.

Experience:

5 years experience in adult ICU

Setting

10 years experience in adult ICU

setting; eICU experience

Education:

Completion of RN program BSN

Successful completion of critical

care course or equivalent

Licensure:

RN; BLS Certification within 14

days of hire; CCRN (Certified

Critical Care Nurse) or CCRNe

credential must be obtained

within 1 year of hire.
