Cloud Engineer (Level 2)
Job Description
We are looking for an L2 Cloud Engineer to support and manage cloud and infrastructure environments. The role involves handling L2 support tickets performing troubleshooting coordinating with internal teams and ensuring issues are resolved within defined SLAs. The candidate should be comfortable working in shifts as well as production support environment.
Roles & Responsibilities
• Handle L2 support tickets and ensure timely resolution within agreed SLAs.
• Perform second-level troubleshooting for cloud and infrastructure-related issues.
• Communicate clearly with customers and internal teams regarding issue status and resolution.
• Escalate issues to L3 teams when required with proper analysis and documentation.
• Ensure proper shift handover by documenting ongoing issues and pending tasks.
• Prioritize incidents based on severity and business impact.
• Work closely with L1 L3 and other internal teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Adhere to operational processes shift schedules and attendance requirements.
Required Skills
• Experience in Cloud or Infrastructure Support (L2 level)
• Working knowledge of:
o Linux and/or Windows servers
o Basic networking concepts (IP addressing DNS routing firewalls)
o At least one public cloud platform (AWS or Azure)
o VPN technologies like Site to site and point to site
• Experience with ticketing tools and SLA-driven support environments
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
Preferred / Added Advantages
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in cloud or infrastructure support
• Any cloud certification (AWS / Azure) will be an added advantage
• Knowledge of DevOps or SysOps concepts and tools will be an added advantage
• Exposure to monitoring backup and security concepts
• Hand on experience on Content Delivery Networks Web application firewalls
• Basic Database administration skills.
• Hands on Experience on Endpoint management tools like Intune scale fusion
Qualification
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
