Harrison Street isseekingto hire a Vice President in the Asset Managementdepartment who will focus on shouldpossesssubstantial experience in asset managementcapital markets (debt financing andproperty dispositions) financial analysis leasingand newdevelopmentoversight and should haveadeepunderstanding of real estateinvesting and management ideal candidate(s)will be astrategicteam player withdemonstratedquantitative financialand analytical skillswho isable to efficientlyallocatetime between multiple tasksand navigatechanging with a progressive background inStorage.

Job Description:Overseeand managewholly-ownedandjoint ventureinvestmentsininthe US as well as the respective property management andpartner duties will include:

Responsibilities:

    • Manage relationships with existing operating partners and third-partyproperty managers;
    • Source coordinateand close all property refinancings;
    • Establish and communicateinternalhold/sell recommendations;
    • Overseeassetdispositionsincluding presentingthe transaction to investment committeeselecting abroker negotiatingthepurchase contract andfacilitatingthe due diligence and closing processes;
    • Formulateproperty-level strategybudgets and capital improvement plans;
    • Determineand implement value preservation strategies including the preparation ofcapital call memorandumsas necessary;
    • Assisttransactionscolleaguesintheunderwritingof newinvestments as well as new operating partners or property managers;
    • Analyze andmonitorproperty financialperformanceand debtcovenant compliance;
    • Alongside construction consultantsmonitorschedulesbudgets and drawsfor new developments and ensure compliance with therelevant governing documents;
    • Review and approvethird-partyappraisal reports and completeperiodicinternal valuationsand re-underwriting processes;
    • Activelymentor train and guide the career development of more junior professionals on the team.

Requirements:

    • Bachelors degree(realestate andfinance concentrations preferred);
    • 10 years of relevant experience incommercialrealestate investment roles: withinDigital and Data Centers
    • Core knowledge of real estateinvestment and financeprinciplesas well as a working understanding of real estateaccounting;
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
    • Ability to draw conclusions from research and data analysis and communicate themconcisely andeffectively;
    • Thorough understanding ofbusinesssoftware (Excel at minimum - Argus preferred).
    • This position requires frequent travelto visit properties property managers and operating partners.
$175000 - $250000 a year
For Illinois Only:The expected base salary range for this position is $175000 to $250000. Actual salaries may vary based on a number of factors including skills experience and qualifications.
