As an Infrastructure Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Infrastructure Platforms - Cloud Foundational Solutions team you utilize strong knowledge of software applications and technical processes within the infrastructure engineering discipline. Apply your technical knowledge and problem-solving methodologies across multiple applications of moderate scope. Cloud Reliability Services TSE team in JPMorgan Chase you will apply deep knowledge of software applications and technical processes within the infrastructure engineering discipline. You will continue to evolve your technical and cross-functional knowledge within and outside of your aligned domain of expertise
- Applies technical knowledge and problem-solving methodologies to projects of moderate scope with a focus on improving the data and systems running at scale and ensures end to end monitoring of applications
- Resolves most nuances and determines appropriate escalation path
- Executes conventional approaches to build or break down technical problems
- Drives the daily activities supporting the standard capacity process applications
- Partners with application and infrastructure teams to identify potential capacity risks and govern remediation statuses
- Considers upstream/downstream data and systems or technical implications
Be accountable for making significant decisions for a project consisting of multiple technologies and applications
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Formal training or certification on infrastructure disciplines concepts and 3 years applied experience
- Strong knowledge of one or more infrastructure disciplines such as hardware networking terminology databases storage engineering deployment practices integration automation scaling resilience and performance assessments
- Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure and multiple cloud technologies with the ability to operate in public and private clouds (ex. AWS Cloud Foundry Kubernetes)
- Deep knowledge of one or more areas of infrastructure engineering such as networking databases storage SDLC integration streaming or IAM
- Deep knowledge of at least one specific technology (ex. Kafka Cassandra S3) and one programming/scripting language (ex. Java Python Unix Shell Scripting PowerShell)
- A drive to continue to develop technical and cross-functional knowledge
- Familiarity with working in a large distributed system across a range of technologies including compute databases messaging observability and telemetry
- Knowledge of incident change and problem management processes
- AWS certification(s)
- Significant programming background in any applicable language
- Kubernetes Azure GCP or Terraform certifications
