PURPOSE

TheSr. HR Consultantprovides strategic HR solutions and servicesto HTCin order tocontribute tooverallregionalHRsuccess.Identifiesrecommendsand implements HR solutions that are aligned with business strategy andactsa business partner/consultantto all business groups across all aspects of HR includingbut not limited toassociate relations compensation talent managementworkforce planningorganizationaldesignlearningand career development.

TheSr.HR Consultantisresponsible for the implementation and success of HR policies and initiativesandworkscollaboratively with leaders and associatesat all levels to enhance associate engagement while ensuring compliance with legislative and company policies and guidelines.

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

HR Business Services and Associate Relations

  • Providesfullrange of consultative and strategic services. Including but not limitedtoemployee relations relationship management performance management resourceplanningand accommodation.

  • Effectively builds relationships and acts as an HR advisor to all HTC associatesand senior leadershipteamon strategic business projects.

  • Maintains awareness of emerging trends and best practices in the external marketplace and recommends solutions that place Honda as an employer of choice.

  • Provides policy interpretation and advice to enhance leader capability and to ensure adherence to corporate HR policiesprogramsand standards.

  • Assistand consult with People Leaders on workforce planning / succession planning / performance management

  • Provide direct coaching mentorship and oversight to Supervisors and Team Leaders on various people leader activitiesAddressing associate concerns and inquiries.Conductscomplex investigations and disciplinary matters withsupportof manager.

  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements

  • Provideperformance management guidance to all levels of management (coaching counseling career development disciplinary actions) provoking positive changes in the management of people and performance improvement

  • Responsible for policy development and implementation.

  • Measure organizational health and leadappropriate associateengagement and reward and recognition strategies

  • Analyze data and conclude action items with the Management team to ensure driving cultural alignment and positive associate relations and drive business performance

HR Strategy and Workforce Planning

  • Support Development of strategies for people management succession planning and talent management for key managerial and critical role positions and for stakeholders.

  • Supportsthedevelopment ofplanstoguarantee that resources are managed strategically

  • SupportSr.Managerin the developmentimplementationand evolution of the HR Strategy

  • Works closely with management to understand and address business issues whileleveragingopportunities to develop strategic HR Initiatives

  • Reviewcurrent situation develop projectplansbased on strategic direction implement initiativesand evaluate success

Learning and Development

  • Partner with leaders to define individual training needs for associates.Identify development solutions and work together withleaders to track progress and ensure gaps are closed.

  • Developannual corporate trainingplanandconduct skills assessments. Sourcescoordinatesand schedules approved internal training courses.

  • Conduct training and info sessions as.

Recruitment

  • Leads theend-to-endrecruitment ofall positions(sourcing interviews offer onboarding)

  • Works with recruitment agenciesandconsultants on hard to fill positions

Compensation/Benefits and Disability Management

  • Overall management of STD LTD and WSIB claims; coordinating Return to Work and accommodation process

  • Support biweekly payroll and answer any questions

  • Leads and supports the annual HR performance cycle including merits and bonuses

  • Partners with PayrollCompensationandBenefitsteamsas needed

POSITION PROFILEANDQUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum6-8yearsof relevant progressiveHR business experience with a proventrack recordof delivering results.

  • University DegreeinHuman Resourcesand/or equivalent experience

  • PreviousHRIS experience is preferred

  • Required tomaintaincomposure eventemperamentand professionalism in all situations.

  • Ability tomaintainstrict confidentiality is

  • Strong knowledge ofEmploymentStandards Act Human Rights Code Occupational Health & SafetyActand any other relevant legislation.

  • Outstanding interpersonal and relationship building skills area must

HIRING PRACTICES

The salary range for thisposition is $83139$103924CADannually. Individual salaries within this range aredeterminedby a variety of job-related factors including education experience knowledge and skill set.
