Aviation Technology Associates (AVTECH) is looking for a Toolmaker II in Tulsa OK.

Shift: First (05:00 to 15:30); other shifts may be available

Pay Rate: $28.75 per hour

Job Type: Full-time Contract

Contract Duration: 12 months (w/opportunity for extension)

Experience/Education:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Three (3) years machine shop experience and/or machine shop training at a Vocational Technical School.
• Valid Drivers License required.

Purpose:

Under minimal supervision lay out and construct tools from Tool Design Engineering drawings and/or hand sketches. Perform the necessary calculations of the material needed to do the job.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate tool shop machinery and equipment to fabricate and assemble quality tooling from Tool Design Engineering drawings and/or hand sketches.
• Perform calculations of materials needed and the speed and feeds required. on all of the machining functions.
• Set up and utilize precision measuring tools; check own work for conformance to specifications.
• Assist with tool prove out on new and reworked detail tooling.
• Responsible for the repair and maintenance of tooling fixtures scaffolding dollies hoists and test equipment.
• Comply with all safety regulations and maintain a neat and orderly work area.
• Operate cart and forklift.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Other Requirements:

• Must have a good understanding and ability to apply shop math.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Must have a good understanding of Geometric Dimensional Tolerancing.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Must be able to read write speak and understand the English language.
