INTERN - BRAND STRATEGY

The Opportunity
At Interbrand strategy is where insight meets possibility. As a Strategy Intern youll join our Strategy team for 6-12 months to learn how brands are built positioned and evolved. Youll work on real client projects contribute to strategic thinking and develop your understanding of how brands create value and connect with audiences. Under the mentorship of experienced strategists youll build the analytical and creative thinking that powers meaningful brand work.
What youll be doing
Learn Interbrands strategic methodology and approach to understand how we analyze brands and develop strategy that drives meanginful conversations with clients
Onboard into our business and strategy culture and build relationships across the strategy team and disciplines
Learn how all disciplines collaborate to create iconic moves that can be measured in terms of brand value
Conduct benchmark analysis trend-spotting and competitive research to support the team in identifying insights
Support senior strategists in building strategic concepts and brand thinking across a varying number of challenges
Help prepare client presentations and workshop materials
Contribute ideas and perspectives in internal regroups and meetings
Participate in client meetings and presentations observing how strategy is communicated
Give and receive feedback to stay open to learning and refine strategic thinking
Engage with Interbrand Academy and external resources to build your brand and strategic knowledge
What were looking for
Experience
In your final year of university or freshly graduated
Portfolio demonstrating strategic thinking research insights and range of thinking
Active follower of branding across various channels
Can articulate what makes brands interesting
Some experience in brand consulting strategic marketing market research or similar field (internships projects or coursework welcome)
Relationships
Collaborative and eager to learn from experienced strategists and peers
Comfortable speaking up with ideas and perspectives and not afraid to challenge conventional thinking
Works well in team environments and actively seeks opportunities to work with others
Curiosity
Unpicks brands marketing or advertising to stimulate thinking
Fascinated by the combination of strategy creativity and insight
Eager to learn explore different industries and brand challenges and develop strategic thinking
Interested in understanding the business and commercial side of brands
Commerciality
Understands the importance of deadlines to deliver work on time and to brief
Takes ownership of assigned tasks and follows through shows initiative and reliability
Recognizes that strategy must connect to business objectives and client outcomes
Communication
Clearly articulates ideas with strong evidence or references
