We would love a candidate who has experienceinthewedding andevent industry but we are willing to train the right person.

The Role:

AsaLead Events & Visitor Services Associate you willwork tofurtherthe mission of The Trustees and preserve our special place forever by providing superior customer service during each daily visit program andeventatdeCordovaSculpture Park & role has a primary focus supporting Special Events andwillberesponsible forthe safety and security of the site and for late night closing of the buildings and grounds after events.

Specificallyyoull:

Visitors Service

While working security at the visitor station or at the front desk:

  • Provide visitors with a warm welcome and offer guidance as neededregardingPark Admissions and wayfinding.
  • Oversee guest interactions with exhibitions in the sculpture park and museum.
  • Ensure museum policies are followed and respectfully address errant behavior.
  • Welcome all visitors while finding opportunities to generate new memberships through visitor engagement.

Events

While supporting event space preparation vendor and client relations and event execution:

  • Underdirectionof Event Manager prepare and organize event spaces and inventory.
  • During events coordinate with vendors andassistas needed while ensuringdeCordovastandards are in place.
  • Act as mainfacilitiescontact during event with thorough knowledge of lights tentsin houseAV and all event space infrastructure.
  • Provide exceptional customer service when working with clients throughout the delivery of their event.

This is a part-time limited term nonexempt position working 25 hours per week reporting directly to the Visitor Services & Security Manager.



Requirements

What Youll Need:

Skills and Experience:

  • Associatesdegree or equivalent work experience.
  • 1yearsof experience working with events facingcustomerservice experience ispreferred.
  • Flexible schedule including nights and events end at 11pmshiftsmay extend to 12am-1am on some weekends.
  • Experience with AV systems ispreferred.
  • Exercise good judgment and decision-making skills and the ability to manage time effectively and prioritize meeting deadlines isrequired.
  • Effectiveand concisecommunication skills both in person and with written materials.
  • Ability to respond to escalated situations and behaviors in a calm and rationalmanner andthink on your feet to solve problems andtroubleshootunder pressure.
  • Excellent external and internal customer service skills.
  • Experience workingincatering orfacilitiesmanagement is preferred.
  • Mustbe personable and enjoy working with people using patience courtesy and kindness.
  • Attention to detail is imperative.
  • Ability to work independentlywhile following policies and directions.

Physical Requirements:

  • Thisposition requires standing walkingreachingand bending for more than 80% of the day.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Must be able to drive Golf Cart.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Current authorization to work in the United States a candidate must have such authorization by his or her first day of employment.
  • A valid drivers license as well as a satisfactory driving record as outlined in The Trustees driving policy.
  • A satisfactory criminal background (CORI) check.
