Responsible for: Planning developing and coordinating fiscal business and operating services required to provide school personnel with facilities materials and other resources needed to support vocational and academic instruction of students. Major Responsibilities: Assist the Superintendent-Director in the development preparation presentation andapproval of the annual budget through the School Committee including visits to memberSelect Boards Finance Committees and City /Town Meetings Establish and maintain adequate systems to control the approved budget. Provide the Superintendent-Director and other Administrators with appropriate financial data. Supervise the preparation of school financial reporting activities. Be designated as the Chief Procurement Officer under the provisions of MGL Chapter 30Band comply with the law and all regulations pertaining to the procurement of goods andservices and disposal of surplus property. Be responsible for the certification of all accounts payable and prompt payment. Manage all district funds to include but not limited to the general fund grants activityaccounts revolving funds trust funds reserve funds capital project funds. Supervise the deposit of funds into correct accounts and supervise the billing and collectionof accounts receivable. Supervise the expenditures and record keeping for federal state and private grants. Administer the contracted transportation program for the District. Work with the Asst. Principals Office to ensure students are assigned to proper bus routesbalance routes as necessary during the first 10 days of school and negotiate necessaryroute change(s) required by changes in conjunction with the Assistant Principals office notify in writing contractors and drivers ofdeviations from regular time schedule for after school bus routes (late bus sports bus). Supervise coordination with the Director of Special Education to provide for all specialtransportation (field trips etc.) Manage supervise and evaluate the Business Office staff. Administer through the Food Service Manager the Food Service Program. Administer through the Director of Educational Technology and Digital Literacy all informationtechnology services and equipment to provide for management of technology service. Administer Coordinator of Facility and Grounds the care and maintenance of school groundsfacilities and equipment. Develop and administer the insurance programs and procure bonds for staff. Maintain equipment inventory and serve as equipment coordinator. Administer equipment depreciation schedules. Maintain and control warehousing facility (central supply). Place and supervise service contracts. Develop and maintain supply inventories. Administer building security systems. Administer and maintain telephone system. Recommend to the Superintendent-Director alterations and changes to the physical plant andgrounds and provide budget estimates. Supervise construction and renovation projects. Administer the rental of the plant and grounds and the acquisition use and maintenance ofschool vehicles. Supervise the acquisition of state or federal surplus property. Participate in and maintain professional development in accordance with the School Business Administrator licensure. Perform all other duties assigned by the Superintendent-Director.
