Job Summary

Skills and experience

MUST: Proven process engineering experience in mining projects (e.g. concentrators hydrometallurgy tailings water/dewatering bulk materials).
12 years in process engineering with advanced knowledge of regulations manufacturing standards and industry practices.
Expertise across mineral processing unit operations: crushing (incl. HPGR); milling (SAG/AG/ball/fine grinding); flotation (conventional/column); thickening/filtration; industrial water & wastewater (management reuse mine dewatering); bulk material handling; hydrometallurgy (leaching solution management mixers/settlers clarification cathodes acid mist control); tailings; and nonprocess infrastructure.
Proficiency preparing scopes of work equipment specs and vendor packages; strong P&ID and datasheet governance.
Software: JKSimMet MineSight MetSim; strong MS Office; familiarity with project planning tools.
Competencies: high technical precision leadership resource planning budgethour management multidiscipline coordination quality and standards focus ability to work under pressure.
Education: Bachelors degree in Metallurgical Engineering Chemical Engineering or related.
Languages: English B2 (technical communication) and Spanish (native).

Introduction

Purpose of the role

Youll lead the development of basic and detailed process engineering for mining projectscovering metals such as copper zinc lead gold silver iron and manganeseensuring technical integrity design safety sustainability constructability and seamless multidisciplinary integration

Core responsibilities

Lead process engineering packages from concept through detailed design ensuring compliance with applicable regulations codes and standards.
Coordinate and guide teams of engineers and designers; supervise Level I/II engineers and review/approve their deliverables.
Scope plan and track work against cost and schedule baselines; participate in squad checks to align with other disciplines.
Develop field design work (site surveys tieins constructability inputs) and support construction teams.
Prepare and maintain P&IDs process datasheets and design calculations; own the quality and accuracy of process deliverables.
Define equipment sizing/specification and engage vendors (RFQs technical clarifications bid evaluations).
Interface with multidiscipline leads to maintain workflows to the master schedule and manage change control.
Produce final technical reports and documentation; communicate progress and risks to stakeholders.
