The Role of Restaurant Manager:
As Restaurant Manager you will be responsible for the daytoday leadership and smooth running of Gilpin Spice. Youll champion guest experience team development operational excellence and commercial performance. Youll work closely with the Head Chef F&B leadership and the wider hotel team to ensure Spice continues to shine as one of the Lake Districts most exciting dining destinations.
What Youll Be Doing as a Restaurant Manager:
Leads with warmth confidence and personality to set the service tone and deliver exceptional memorable guest experiences.
Maintains a visible floor presence anticipating needs resolving feedback swiftly and elevating every stage of the guest journey.
Recruits trains coaches and inspires a highperforming collaborative frontofhouse team within a positive and inclusive culture.
Drives continuous development through structured briefings skills training and regular performance conversations.
Oversees daily operations with precision ensuring consistency efficiency immaculate standards and full compliance across SOPs health & safety and allergen management.
Manages labour planning rotas holidays and resource allocation in line with business needs and service demands.
Supports commercial performance through menu development revenue monitoring cost control guestfeedback analysis and effective reservations and capacity management.
Collaborates closely with kitchen and wider hotel teams ensuring seamless communication and representing Gilpin Spice confidently in internal and external forums.
