- Build mission-critical risk models in Python that help identify and measure financial and operational risks across the organisation

Theyre looking for a Python Developer to join their Krakow-based team and help build a quantitative library that supports critical risk management across the enterprise. Position Overview
Youll develop and implement a quantitative library in Python comprising traded risk models that help the organisation identify measure and manage financial and operational risks. Working closely with quantitative modellers and IT teams youll translate proof-of-concept designs into robust production-ready code. Youll also design and build a service layer that enables seamless interaction between risk models and other microservices within the system architecture. This role is central to delivering the tools and standards that support enterprise-wide compliance and risk management.
Responsibilities
- Develop a quantitative library in Python for traded risk models based on specifications from quantitative modellers
- Implement risk model code from proof-of-concept designs ensuring technical accuracy and performance
- Design and build a service layer to facilitate interaction between risk models and other microservices
- Collaborate with quantitative modellers and IT teams to ensure effective integration and technical alignment
- Follow common programming best practices and application lifecycle standards throughout development
- Contribute to the development of cutting-edge tools that support enterprise-wide risk management
Requirements
- Strong expertise in Python with demonstrable experience in production environments
- Hands-on experience with NumPy and pandas for data manipulation and analysis
- Solid understanding of algorithms and data structures
- Knowledge of application lifecycle and software development best practices
- Familiarity with the technical stack: FastAPI REST APIs GitHub Jenkins Docker Redis Amazon Web Services Kubernetes and Apache Airflow
- Ability to work at least one day per week from the Krakow office
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across technical teams
